The role suits someone who understands lifting equipment, can make practical decisions quickly, and is comfortable dealing with engineers, customers, suppliers and office staff throughout the day.

This isn’t just a behind-the-desk role - you will be involved in technical decisions, commercial decisions and operational problem-solving, with involvement in modernising

Qualifications

• Experience in planning crane, hoist and lifting gear work.
• Ability to coordinate engineer workloads and service visits.
• Ability to convert inspection findings into repair quotations.

Responsibilities

• Planning and prioritising crane, hoist, lifting gear and site service work.
• Coordinating engineer workloads across inspections, repairs, breakdowns, testing and follow-up visits.
• Making sure jobs have the right scope, site details, customer contacts, report types, RAMS and job cards before engineers attend.
• Reviewing engineer findings from service reports, LOLER inspections and repair sheets.
• Understanding defects on cranes, hoists, lifting gear, slings, shackles, beams and related equipment.
• Turning engineer repair sheets and inspection findings to clear, accurate repair quotations
• Requesting prices from suppliers for OEM and specialist parts.

This role would suit someone who understands lifting equipment, can make practical decisions quickly and is comfortable dealing with engineers, customers, suppliers and office staff throughout the day.
