Job summary

Job description

Location: Torfaen

Hours: 37

Salary: £32,669pa, sleep-in shifts at £60 per night, and travel expenses paid at 45p per mile

Contract: Permanent

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the support service and engaging in its ongoing development.
  • Providing motivational leadership and direction to your team to deliver quality, person-centred support.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders and embodying our vision and values.
  • Reviewing support requirements, including service delivery and support plans, risk assessments, following person-centred and Active Support principles.
  • Managing and developing a team of support workers, encouraging problem-solving and creativity.
  • Focusing on achieving the highest levels of support and independence for those we support to make everyday remarkable.

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in social care.
  • Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or actively working towards it.
  • A caring nature committed to supporting others to live enriched lives.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as needed.
  • A driver’s license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.
