Are you a passionate, dynamic, and motivated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable people?

Join Revolving Doors Housing Trust (RDHT) as a Service Manager and become part of a team that is dedicated to empowering residents to achieve positive life changes.

Our mission is to reduce and eliminate homelessness in Greater Manchester and the Northwest by collaborating with local authorities and partners.

You will work with the Programme Director and Manager to provide high-quality support, promoting residents' independence and helping them lead sustainable lives. Your role will be key to ensuring residents receive the respect, resources, and support they need to thrive.

To excel in this role will require strong leadership skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to think creatively when solving problems. You will need to be organised, proactive, and committed to promoting the well-being and independence of vulnerable individuals.

What can Revolving Doors Housing Trust give to you?

  • Ongoing training programme, including an initial 3-day induction
  • 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
  • Free onsite parking
  • You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our residents and make a lasting difference in their lives
  • We believe in supporting our staff with ongoing training, supervision, and a positive working environment
  • You’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to improving supported living services in Manchester

Are you the right person for us?

  • At least 3 years' experience in a service management role
  • Knowledge of supported accommodation and pre-tenancy services for homeless individuals
  • Strong understanding of risk management, information sharing, and data security
  • Proficient in IT for high-quality reporting, including using spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software
  • Experience of working with high-risk or complex-need individuals, such as those with mental health, substance abuse, or domestic violence issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

What will your role as a Service Manager look like?

  • Work with external professionals to create and manage treatment plans for residents with physical and mental health conditions. Ensure all risk assessments and support needs are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Oversee the induction process, including ensuring housing benefit claims are completed swiftly and efficiently upon arrival
  • Lead the development and implementation of tailored, person-centred support plans that focus on achieving positive outcomes and safe exits for residents
  • Facilitate a collaborative approach to care, working with external services such as mental health, substance misuse, and probation services to provide holistic support
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure seamless communication with support workers and management, and provide weekly updates on resident progress

What will be expected of you (KPIs):

  • To work with the Programme Director to ensure the service meets its contractual requirements and Key Performance Indicators
  • To guide, monitor and support staff performance and ensure your personal goals are achieved
  • To oversee the professional development of staff, ensuring that regular supervision and appropriate training takes place
  • To be available to deal with clients who need help or advice, ensuring that service users feel supported, understood, and empowered to make informed decisions about their future
  • To keep clear and relevant records and statistics, and to ensure good communication with commissioners and other statutory and voluntary partners to develop the service

An Enhanced DBS check will be required as you will be working directly with vulnerable adults.

If shortlisted for interview an application form will be sent out, followed by an initial face to face interview. If this is a successful interview, you will then proceed to a second interview.
