Job summary

White Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Service Manager for a specialist heat pump manufacturer. This office-based role focuses on administration, organisation and coordination of the service operation to ensure engineers are scheduled and maintenance visits run efficiently.

The ideal candidate has service coordination/management experience, excellent organisation, and strong customer communication skills. There is no requirement for technical heat pump knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in service coordination, administration or service management.
• Experience managing field engineer diaries advantageous.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident using CRM, scheduling or service-management systems.
• Experience within HVAC, heating, renewables or engineering advantageous.
• Technical heat pump knowledge is not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day administration of the service department.
• Plan and schedule engineer workloads.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance visits.
• Manage engineer diaries and geographical routing.
• Book appointments with customers and site contacts.
• Monitor upcoming service and maintenance requirements.
• Manage service contracts and renewal dates.

We’re recruiting a Service Manager for a specialist heat pump manufacturer.

This is a non-technical management position focused on the administration, organisation and coordination of the company’s service operation. You’ll ensure engineers are properly scheduled, customers are kept informed and planned maintenance visits run efficiently.

The Role

• Manage the day-to-day administration of the service department

• Plan and schedule engineer workloads

• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance visits

• Manage engineer diaries and geographical routing

• Book appointments with customers and site contacts

The Opportunity

This role is about making sure the service operation runs smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll take ownership of engineer scheduling, PPM administration, customer communication, service documentation and general coordination, allowing the engineering team to concentrate on delivering the work.

Long-term progression into Senior Service Manager → Service Operations Manager / Operations Manager.
