Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Service Manager to lead service and parts operations across the Southwest region in the United Kingdom. The role requires proven service/engineering management experience within construction plant or heavy equipment, with strong leadership and a focus on customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of field service engineers, drive aftersales profitability, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

• Monitor WIP, invoicing and customer debt.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify new parts, service and business opportunities.
• Promote service agreements, genuine parts and additional aftersales products.

We’re looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead service and parts operations across our Southwest Region.

We’re looking for someone with Service Management / Engineering Management experience, ideally within construction plant, heavy equipment, agricultural or materials handling.

The role as the Service manager:

• Manage and support a team of Field Service Engineers & Parts Counter Assistants
• Oversee day-to-day depot and Product Support operations
• Ensure high standards of H&S, quality and customer service
• Manage engineer resources alongside the Service Controller
• Drive aftersales sales, revenue and profitability
• Monitor WIP, invoicing and customer debt
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Identify new parts, service and business opportunities
• Promote service agreements, genuine parts and additional aftersales products
• Support the Sales, Service & Parts teams with technical and commercial expertise
