Job summary

Govia Thameslink Railway is hiring a Service Engineer Level 2 for the Repair Shop at Selhurst Depot. This hands-on role focuses on repairs, maintenance, and fault-finding to the highest safety and quality standards while helping to keep our rolling stock reliable.

You'll work in a supportive team, lead by example, and develop skills in mechanical, electrical, and vehicle-building tasks. Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 or an apprenticeship, fault-finding ability, and a willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship in engineering is expected.
• Strong understanding of rolling stock engineering demonstrated through experience and knowledge.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills with rolling stock.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on rolling stock, including mechanical and electrical work.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to keep fleet reliable.
