Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Leeds is seeking a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician to support our depot operations. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical fault-diagnosis skills, with full training provided for rail-specific tasks.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and assist with skill development, while contributing to safe, reliable rolling stock movements and continuous improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Rolling stock experience preferred but training will be provided.
• Experience documenting actions and operations accurately and to procedures.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate, and health & safety including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine maintenance and repair of allocated rolling stock to meet production plan requirements.
• Carry out download diagnosis and fault-finding to a basic level.
• Assist team members with development of technical skills.
• Depot driving and movement of rolling stock within depot limits.
• Identify, order and collect spares and materials from stores.
• Assist with cleaning of rolling stock when required.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to benefit customers and the business.
