Job summary

Unique Fire and Security is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer to maintain, diagnose, and repair fire alarm and security systems for residential and commercial clients. You will ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant, supporting safety across premises.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a fire and security engineer across multiple disciplines.
• Strong IT and networking understanding relevant to security systems.
• Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to issues.
• Participation in an on-call rota.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on fire alarm systems, CCTV, and other security systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance.
• Diagnose technical issues with fire alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and other security systems promptly and accurately.
• Respond to emergency service calls with a swift and effective resolution approach.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• Ensure all work adheres to current legislation and working standards.

About The Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing fire alarm and security systems, ensuring they remain fully operational and compliant. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction while contributing to the safety and security of their premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on fire alarm systems, VSS (CCTV) systems, and other security systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.


• Diagnose technical issues with fire alarm systems, VSS (CCTV) cameras, and other security systems promptly and efficiently.


• Respond to emergency service calls, demonstrating a speedy and effective approach to resolving issues.


• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.


• Ensure all work adheres to current legislation and working standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Significant experience as a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer.


• Strong IT skills and understanding of networks and network-connected devices.


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.


• Flexible attitude and approach, including excellent interpersonal skills.


• Participation in an on-call rota.


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up To £38,000 per year DOE with OTE of £42,000+
