Job summary

Amida Consulting Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Fire & Security Service Engineer to service and maintain fire alarm, access control and security systems across medium to large commercial sites in the UK. You will diagnose faults, complete maintenance visits and ensure compliance with British Standards.

The role requires FIA training or equivalent, ECS Card, and a full UK driving licence, with a strong focus on fault finding and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing fire and security systems across commercial sites.
• Knowledge of current British Standards and FIA/PASMA/IPAF standards.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarm, access control, and security systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance visits.
• Ensure all work complies with current British Standards and industry regulations.
• Produce accurate service reports and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers by delivering excellent service.
• Work independently while supporting the wider engineering team when required.

The Role

• Good understanding of current British Standards.
• FIA training or equivalent industry knowledge.
• ECS Card.
• Asbestos Awareness certification.
• IPAF and PASMA certifications.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional approach with high attention to detail.
