Title: Service Engineer

Location: Dartford - North Kent Site Based (with UK and Overseas Travel)

Industry: Production / Packaging / Manufacturing

Shifts: Monday - Friday (flexibility to work away required)

Salary: Circa GBP35,000 - GBP38,000 per annum + Overtime & Expenses Covered

We are hiring for a multiskilled service engineer with several years experience working with automated production or manufacturing equipment to join the team on a permanent basis. IF you are looking to develop your skillsets and consult different manufacturing environments across the world this could be the role for you!

The purpose of this role is to service and install packaging machinery for large scale customers across the globe. It requires a high level of expertise in installing, training, and servicing our equipment, while adhering to all customer safety policies. Excellent customer communication is essential, as you will be the primary point of contact on-site. You will also conduct equipment surveys and provide solutions to optimize performance. When not in the field, you will support the factory's equipment manufacturing process.

The Role:

* Install and service packaging equipment domestically and internationally.
* Possess strong mechanical and electrical skills (mechanic bias), troubleshooting abilities, and basic PLC knowledge.
* Work effectively both independently and within a team.
* Willingness to travel extensively (including internationally) and work extended periods away from home.
* Report to the service manager and contribute new ideas for equipment improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

* Strong mechanical aptitude and fundamental understanding of electrical fault-finding; basic pneumatics knowledge a plus.
* Excellent customer relation skills and ability to build rapport.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain organization, and adapt to flexible work hours.
* Clean driving license preferred.

Titles; Multiskilled, Maintenance, Mechanical Engineer, Technician, Electrical, Automation, Project, EC&I, Production, Manufacturing Engineer or Technician.
