Job description

Service Engineer required for my client based in Barnsley who work within the polyurethane manufacturing equipment industry of engineering and manufacturing.

Position Overview

• Working on new equipment builds and commissioning
• Servicing and testing of both new and old equipment - both on and off site.
• Working on-site at various locations in the UK and potentially worldwide.
• Providing installations of new equipment and rapid response to breakdown repairs.
• Performing and assisting with fault finding, diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of polyurethane metering machines.

Position Requirements

• Good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• A solid engineering background with knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• A logical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Knowledge of PLC control systems.
• Ability to manage and lead on-site requirements.
• Willingness to work and travel away from home when required.
• Reside within a commutable distance of Barnsley.
• Full UK driving licence.

Remuneration

• Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
• Full-time position
• Holiday package: 20 days + bank holidays
