Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the team and the job:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Desk Specialist to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for providing technical support, managing desktop environments, and ensuring the smooth operation of end-user devices.

There will also likely be an opportunity to develop in other technical areas including Server Operating Systems, Networks, and Storage.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

How you'll contribute:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Manage and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and security updates.
  • Assist with the deployment and management of software and hardware assets.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer, IT Enterprise support or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with global cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
  • Server engineering experience and skills.
