Job summary

Catering is seeking a Service Controller in Grantham to coordinate service, repair and breakdown activity for material handling equipment. You will work with customers, field engineers and internal teams to ensure timely scheduling and efficient progression from enquiry to completion and invoicing.

The role suits someone with experience in service coordination or engineering support, highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Strong organisation & administration skills required.
• Excellent communication via phone and email.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment.

• Experience using ERP/CRM or service management systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for service, maintenance, repairs and breakdown support.
• Coordinate daily service desk activities to handle enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Plan and allocate work to field engineers based on location, availability and urgency.
• Update customers with engineer attendance and job progress; manage expectations.
• Raise and progress service jobs in ERP/CRM systems; assist with invoicing.
