Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd seeks a proactive Service Controller to join a brand-new site in Grantham. You will coordinate customer requirements, engineer schedules and repairs, ensuring smooth operation from day one. This role suits someone organised, customer-focused and able to adapt in a busy environment.

You will be the main contact for servicing, repairs, or breakdowns, log jobs, arrange visits, and help with quotes. Competitive salary and pension available.

Qualifications

• Essential: experience in service coordination, hire desk or engineering support role.
• Be organised, methodical and confident managing multiple priorities.
• Communicate clearly by phone, email and in person.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced service environment.
• Collaborate with a team while working independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365.
• Experience with ERP/CRM or service management systems such as Sage or Protean.

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact for customers needing servicing, repairs or breakdown assistance.
• Manage incoming service requests and keep jobs moving from start to finish.
• Schedule engineers based on workload, location, availability and urgency.
• Keep customers updated and manage expectations.
• Log and update jobs on the service/ERP system with accurate information.
• Assist with quotes and follow up for customer approval.
• Maintain relationships with customers, engineers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Support the service team with improving processes and daily efficiency.
