Job summary

CPS Group (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced SC Cleared Service Designer for remote UK public sector projects. The role focuses on designing end-to-end digital services, mapping user journeys, and ensuring alignment with GDS standards and accessibility requirements.

You will collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, and technical architects to deliver user-centered services across channels, with a strong emphasis on governance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Active UK Security Clearance (SC) required.
• Proven end-to-end service design experience.
• Knowledge of the GDS Service Standard and Service Manual.
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Miro, Lucidchart).
• Strong storytelling and workshop facilitation.

• End-to-End Service Mapping: Map user journeys, blueprints, and touchpoints across physical and digital channels.
• GDS Alignment: Ensure service designs meet the Service Standard and accessibility regulations.

Role: SC Cleared Service Designer

Start: ASAP

Location: Remote

Rate: 550 per day Inside IR35

Contract Length: 3+ months (projects 2+ years, extensions likely)

We are seeking an experienced Service Designer with active SC Clearance to help design and improve complex end-to-end digital services across public sector and government projects. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to map user journeys, define service architecture, and ensure public services are intuitive, accessible, and compliant with GDS (Government Digital Service) / CDDO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Service Mapping: Map user journeys, blueprints, and touchpoints across physical and digital channels.
• GDS Alignment: Ensure service designs meet the Service Standard and accessibility regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with User Researchers, Interaction Designers, Product Managers, and Technical Architects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance: Must hold current valid UK Security Clearance (SC)
• Service Design Experience: Proven track record in designing user-centered end-to-end services, ideally within UK Government or Defense sectors.
• GDS Standards: Strong working knowledge of the GDS Service Standard and Service Manual.
• Tooling: Experience using design and prototyping tools (e.g., Miro, Figma, Lucidchart).
• Communication: Exceptional storytelling, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
