Job summary

A leading consultancy in the UK is seeking a mid-senior level Service Designer. This role involves shaping complex services across digital and organisational boundaries. You will map and design end-to-end services, work with users and stakeholders, and create various service artefacts. The ideal candidate has strong experience in service design within complex organisations, possesses excellent facilitation skills, and holds eligibility for UK Security Clearance. This hybrid role requires occasional UK travel.

Are you a Service Designer who enjoys shaping complex services that sit across digital, operational and organisational boundaries? We're looking for a mid-senior level Service Designer to join a leading consultancy, supporting a nationally significant, data-led organisation delivering critical services used across government, industry and the public.

This role is ideal for someone who can zoom out to see the whole service ecosystem, then zoom in to design practical improvements that work in the real world.

Location: Kensington, London (hybrid)

Start Date: January 2026

Duration: 3-6 months (potential to extend)

Travel: Occasional UK travel may be required

What You'll Be Doing

• Mapping and designing end-to-end services across complex, multi-channel environments.
• Working with users, delivery teams and stakeholders to understand needs, constraints and opportunities.
• Creating service artefacts such as service blueprints, journey maps and operating models.
• Identifying pain points and designing improvements across people, processes, policy and technology.
• Collaborating closely with researchers, UX designers, product managers and delivery teams.
• Supporting evidence-led decision making within a data-heavy, scientific and operational context.

What You'll Bring
