Job description

Once trained and after a period of shadowing (roughly six months) and once you have been accepted onto the PVG scheme, you will have your own caseload of people, victims or witnesses of crime, whom you will provide ongoing emotional support and signposting to on a regular basis. At times, the calls can be quite traumatic. You need life experience, empathy, good listening skills, and the ability to support people who have been victims of crime. A willingness to learn new skills, e.g., IT skills, and enjoy being part of a team is essential.

We are still working mainly from home at this time.

Volunteers aged 12-25 taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
