The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is an international volunteer-led NGO supporting and advocating the application of blockchain technology in the global fight against climate change.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking dynamic, self-starting volunteers interested in joining our organization as (Senior) Programme Officers at the Director-General's Office overseeing the BCI Fellowship Scheme.

As a member of the Executive Officer Grade, you will work closely with the Director of Programmes (DPG), assisting with operational and administrative tasks. You will also be responsible for organizing meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with legal and governing documents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing research briefings for Council Fellows
  • Managing projects on blockchain and climate policy areas
  • Planning meetings with the DPG and Council Fellows
  • Drafting agendas, discussion papers, and reports
  • Taking and circulating minutes
  • Following up on actions and maintaining contact details
  • Filing documents and managing a schedule of upcoming meetings

Requirements

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to analyze complex topics and write concise minutes
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Follow policies and procedures

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of Airtable and/or Trello
  • Interest or knowledge in climate change, climate finance, blockchain technology (preferred)

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Public or Business Administration or related field
  • Experience in project administration or management
  • At least 2 years as a Project Officer or Executive Assistant
  • Proven ability to work independently and in teams to meet deadlines
