Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Service Delivery Officer to support the Homes, Care & Provision remit within the Children’s Service Delivery team. The role is full-time and permanent, based at Shute End, Wokingham, with a 37-hour week and a salary range of £29,542–£32,047 per annum.

You will work with front-line practitioners, help develop and enhance services for children and families, and contribute to statutory meetings, data handling, and financial processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• A high level of written and oral communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of financial processes, with strong numeracy skills and the ability to manage financial information accurately.
• Experience of minuting/recording of high-level meetings.
• Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information.
• The ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Registered Manager and team in facilitating multi-agency statutory meetings, answering calls and emails, and managing inboxes.
• Overseeing all areas of finance for the service, collating key performance indicators and essential data for Ofsted inspections.
• Assisting the service in making sure all necessary documentation is recorded and stored on the system, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Assisting with financial assessments to support adoption and special guardianship order allowance decisions, and coordinating payment runs for carers.
