Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Service Delivery Officer to join the Children’s Service Delivery team in a full-time, permanent capacity at Shute End, Wokingham. You will split responsibilities across Residential Homes and the Fostering service finance tasks, supporting frontline practitioners and driving service improvements for children and families.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• A high level of written and oral communication skills
• Sound knowledge of financial processes, with strong numeracy skills and the ability to manage financial information accurately
• Experience of minuting/recording of high-level meetings
• Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information
• The ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Registered Manager and team in facilitating multi-agency statutory meetings, answering calls and emails, and managing inboxes
• Overseeing all areas of finance for the service, collating key performance indicators and essential data for Ofsted inspections
• Assisting the service in making sure all necessary documentation is recorded and stored on the system, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Assisting the Fostering Finance Officer with financial assessments to support adoption and special guardianship order allowance decisions, and assisting with the coordination of payment runs for our carers.
