Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Service Manager to ensure operational delivery and continuous improvement across designated services within the Division (General Surgery, Colorectal, Upper GI, Breast, Urology and Vascular at Frimley Park).

The post holder will provide visible leadership, manage performance against national and local targets, and oversee workforce utilisation and financial control.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering operational services and improving performance.
• Ability to manage clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Strong financial control and budgeting capability.
• Experience leading service improvement and business planning.

Responsibilities

• Direct line management of administrative and support staff and indirect leadership of a wider multidisciplinary team.
• Delivery of key access, activity and quality targets across the service.
• Delegated budget responsibility, including pay and non-pay elements.
• Oversight of service performance including waiting lists, patient pathways, clinic/theatre utilisation and patient flow.
• Contribution to business planning, service development and financial recovery.
• Participate in Divisional Manager of the day rotas to support site flow cross-site working.
