Job summary

Johnsons Workwear Ltd is seeking a Service Delivery Driver to operate between customer sites and the plant, ensuring compliant transport practices and reliable service.

You will manage daily routes, maintain records, and deliver excellent customer service while loading/unloading, stock management and paperwork. The role supports the transport team and requires a CPC and a 7.5t licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPC and 7.5-ton licence.
• Experience in delivery driving preferred.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles and place stock at customer sites.
• Ensure vehicles are stocked with sundry items and maintain supplies.
• Deliver and collect items according to route documentation and exchange mats as required.
• Complete all paperwork and delivery documentation accurately.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and act as liaison between customers and the business.
• Cover routes for absent drivers when required and support the transport team.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team.

We are currently seeking a Service Delivery Driver to deliver and collect company stock between customer sites and the plant. This role is key to ensuring compliance with transport legislation while delivering a reliable, high-quality service to our customers.

Please note - this role requires any applicant to hold a valid CPC and 7.5ton Licence.

The role

As a Service Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for managing daily delivery routes, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service at every interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles and placing stock into designated areas at customer sites
• Ensuring vehicles are stocked with sufficient sundry items, such as repair labels and bags
• Collecting and delivering items in line with route documentation, including loading and emptying on-premises lockers and exchanging dust control mats
• Accurately completing all required paperwork and delivery documentation
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with customers and acting as a key liaison between customers and the business
• Supporting the Transport Manager by covering routes for absent drivers when required
• Undertaking ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team
