Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Portsmouth is seeking a proactive on-site Operations Coordinator to support routing and driver engagement. You will liaise with drivers and stakeholders, monitor performance and escalate safety concerns as needed.

The role requires a UK driving licence and prior experience in waste/transport/logistics. A focus on compliance with WTD and transport regulations is essential, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers, stakeholders and drivers.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in waste/transport/logistics industry preferred.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD) beneficial.
• Ability to organise a busy workload and work at pace.

Responsabilités

• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers.
• Managing completion of all debriefs with front-line staff and reporting necessary actions or updates as required.
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers, supporting them to address any issues on the route.
• Reporting of all safety concerns or container damage and encouraging 'stop the job' if unsafe to continue.
• Supporting Operations Manager with Veolia legal compliance on-site (WTD, O'licence and transport compliance).
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement on KPI performance.
• Direct reporting line for all drivers and Service Coordinators; promoting equality and inclusivity.

• Supporting Operations Manager with Veolia legal compliance on-site (WTD, O'licence and transport compliance)
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement on KPI performance.

  Good communication skills, including communicating with people of all levels, including drivers, frontline employees and no customers
• Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace
• UK Driving licence
• Previous experience operating within a similar industry, waste/transport/logistics
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and WTD

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum plus performance bonus, Veolia benefits and pension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week 8:30am - 5pm + Saturdays on a rota basis and Bank holidays (These are at additional pay)
