About the Role
This is a fast-paced role involving leading a team of site and field-based engineers. Responsibilities include arranging equipment repairs, liaising with customers and site managers, managing engineer workloads, and working with lead engineers to ensure timely, high-standard maintenance of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy service office environment, preferably within the MHE industry, with a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle daily challenges effectively.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of Field Based Engineers and Site Engineering Team Leaders.
- Coordinating with the Aftersales Team to organize engineer schedules.
- Communicating with customer site managers to arrange attendance for breakdowns, maintenance, and servicing.
- Placing and processing orders with suppliers and network dealers.
- Collaborating with other departments within the business.
- Processing engineer jobs for invoicing.
- Preparing quotations for repairs and additional work.
- Handling warranty claims.
- Compiling reports.
- Participating in out-of-hours customer support on a rota basis.
- Undertaking additional tasks as needed to support the business and customers.
- Ensuring all engineer tasks are completed and processed in line with month-end procedures.

Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A strong desire and ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Experience in a fast-paced, reactive customer service role.
- Excellent communication skills, including a confident and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Teamwork skills with a flexible approach to workload.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Well-developed IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience with Protean software is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
