Job description

Ready to use your leadership and financial expertise to make a difference for residents?

Join PCH during an exciting period of growth and change. We’re looking for an experienced finance professional who is fully AAT qualified, with a strong track record of managing and developing teams, taking ownership of complex responsibilities and delivering high-quality outcomes. Ideally, they will have experience in service charge accounting and legislation or demonstrate the ability to quickly develop into a subject matter expert in this specialist area.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join PCH at a pivotal time to lead and shape the operational delivery of a high-profile service charge function, delivering a timely, accurate, compliant and resident-focused service across various tenures. As PCH continues to grow and prepares for leasehold reforms during 2027, you will play a crucial role in delivering the function’s strategic direction, lead and develop a high-performing team, strengthen systems and controls, and work across the organisation to improve transparency, value for money and outcomes for residents.

You’ll lead the end-to-end service charge cycle, working closely with teams across PCH to ensure charges are accurate, clearly communicated and effectively managed. Drawing on your management experience, you’ll strengthen processes to align with the requirements of leasehold reform, implement new systems, provide clear direction and influence the future development of the service, delivering a visible impact for residents and the organisation.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:
  • Is a fully AAT-qualified finance professional with strong experience in housing, property management, service charges or a suitable finance environment. Ideally, they will understand service charge legislation and cost recovery or be able to quickly develop extensive knowledge.
  • Has experience leading and developing others, alongside strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Can communicate complex financial information clearly and is passionate about improving services and finding better ways of working.
  • Has proven experience of resolving complex customer, resident and stakeholder queries, using sound judgement and clear communication to achieve timely, fair and customer-focused outcomes
  • Is confident working with large and complex datasets and has advanced spreadsheet skills to analyse information, identify trends and produce accurate outputs
