Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a detail‑driven Managing Agent Assurance Officer to join our Service Charge & Specialist Leasehold Services team. You’ll review service charge expenditure, assess compliance with lease obligations and statutory requirements, and ensure charges are supported by evidence.

You’ll provide independent assurance, challenge and resident advocacy, investigate complex issues, support dispute resolution and contribute to tribunal proceedings where required.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing service charges and lease obligations.
• Ability to review financial information and supporting documentation.
• Strong communication skills to present complex findings clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex casework.

Responsibilities

• Review service charge expenditure and assess compliance with lease obligations and statutory requirements.
• Provide independent assurance and challenge across the managed agent portfolio.
• Investigate complex service charge issues and support dispute resolution and tribunal proceedings where required.
• Manage evidence, engage stakeholders and help reduce risk and improve recoverability of service charges.
