Worth Recruiting - Property Industry Recruitment is seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join a specialist property management business in the Bromley area, working within a focused team that manages service charge accounts across a portfolio of residential properties. Previous experience with Property Management Accounts is essential and the role is office-based.

This permanent, full-time position requires a qualified or part-qualified accountant with knowledge of service charge accounting.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant, preferably ACCA, CIMA or ACA
• Property industry experience and strong understanding of service charge accounting
• Strong ability to produce accurate financial reporting and reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage annual service charge budgets and accounts
• Complete service charge reconciliations and financial reporting
• Review expenditure and ensure costs are allocated to properties
• Process and review supplier invoices and payments
• Liaise with property managers, leaseholders and external stakeholders on financial queries
• Assist with year-end accounts, audits and statutory reporting requirements

A Block Management Service Charge Accountant is required to join a specialist property management business in the Bromley area, working within a focused team managing service charge accounts across a managed residential property portfolio. Previous experience of working with Property Management Accounts is essential and the role will be office based.

Salary: £45,000 per annum

This role will suit a qualified or part-qualified accounts person but property industry experience and a strong understanding of service charge accounting is essential. You’ll be responsible for accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and supporting property managers with the financial management of residential developments.
