Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Service Charge Accountant in Croydon to manage end-to-end service charge accounting for a dedicated property portfolio. You will work closely with Property Managers, clients, and auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires experience in service charge/portfolio accounting, knowledge of RICS and ARMA-Q, and hands-on use of Qube/Yardi/Tramps with strong MS Excel skills. Hybrid working with two days WFH post-probation offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Charge Accountant, Portfolio Accountant, or Block Property Accountant.
• Knowledge of residential property management regulations (RICS, ARMA-Q).
• Hands-on experience with property accounting systems (Qube, Yardi, Tramps) and MS Excel.
• Excellent numerical precision, time management and communication skills.
• Keen to develop and progress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end service charge accounts following RICS Codes of Practice and ARMA rules.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, developer voids, income splits, and balancing adjustments.
• Coordinate client audits, submit VAT returns to HMRC, and issue Section 20b notices.
• Resolve complex accounting queries with property managers, freeholders, and RMCs.
• Assist with the financial onboarding of newly acquired properties.
