What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) as a Service Charge Accountant
- Prepare and manage annual service charge budgets and accounts
- Complete service charge reconciliations and financial reporting
- Review expenditure and ensure costs are accurately allocated to properties
- Process and review supplier invoices and payments
- Liaise with property managers, leaseholders and external stakeholders regarding financial queries
- Assist with year-end accounts, audits and statutory reporting requirements
What our client is looking for (Skills & Experience)
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant, preferably ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Previous experience in service charge accounting or property accounting
- Strong understanding of residential property and leasehold accounting
- Experience preparing service charge budgets and year-end accounts
- Confident working with reconciliations and financial reporting
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear communicator with the ability to work effectively with property managers and clients
