Job summary

MSA Safety seeks a detail-oriented team member to record wash and inspection details on Prima and to support garment processing within the facility.

You will read customer information, inspect garments, tag repairs, update tickets, and complete necessary paperwork to help achieve a seven-day turnaround while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires good communication, ability to work under pressure, and familiarity with PC-based systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Find or create batch records to record wash and inspection details on Prima.
• Read customer information to follow or be aware of.
• Inspect garments or items thoroughly using taught methods.
• Load wash details and repairs onto Prima.
• Tag repairs and produce repair tickets.
• Separate repairs from non-repairs and maintain system.
• Add inspection tag, initial and date when signed off as fit for purpose.
• Add repair garments to relevant trolley for sewing area.
• Complete and sign necessary paperwork in the process.
• Garments added to trolley awaiting dispatch area.
• Understand the 7-day turnaround goal and daily order of work.
• Escalate issues preventing 7-day turnaround to supervisor.
• Move sections and perform other trained work to increase productivity.
• Weekly housekeeping, tidy up, and cleaning in work area.
• Keep desks clutter-free and clean.
• Ensure equipment use follows training.
• Complete Near Hits for unsafe acts and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Find batch (or create) to record wash and inspection details on Prima.
• Read the customer information that you need to follow or be aware of.
• Thoroughly inspect the garment or item using the method you have been taught.
• Load relevant wash detail and any repairs found onto Prima.
• Tag any repairs found and produce a repair ticket for the garment/ item.
• Separate repairs from non repairs and ensure you have a system in place
• Add an inspection tag, initialing and dating once you are happy to sign off as fit for purpose. Condition code and complete garments without repairs.
• Add repair garments to relevant trolley awaiting move to sewing area
• Complete and sign all necessary paperwork needed within the process
• Completed garments added to relevant trolley awaiting move to dispatch area
• Understand the 7 day turnaround process goal and the day order of work
• Always escape issues that prevent you from achieving the 7 day turnaround goal to a supervisor
• Be prepared to move sections and complete other work when needed, that you have been trained on to increase productivity or efficiency.
• Take part in a weekly housekeeping check /tidy up/ and cleaning exercise in your work area
• Ensure desks are clutter free and clean
• Ensure all equipment used is according to the training given and the specific requirements of the machines being used.
• Complete “Near Hits” for all unsafe acts, resolving if you can, and elevate to the supervisor

Qualifications
