Job summary

First Military Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering business to recruit a Service and Calibration Engineer for a Petersfield base. You will service and calibrate AC/DC power sources, loads, and related equipment, helping uphold UKAS accreditation while expanding calibration scope.

Role involves 1–2 weeks per month visiting customer sites across the UK and developing calibration procedures for new equipment. Permanent role with attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in Instrumentation and Calibration: hands-on servicing, testing, and calibration of electronic and electrical instruments.
• Knowledge of Calibration Standards and ISO 17025 and ability to work to these standards.
• Experience with a wide range of test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies, insulation and flash testers.
• Repair and maintenance experience: fault finding analogue and digital electronics, interpreting schematics.
• Strong instrumentation knowledge for industrial, scientific, and lab environments.
• Good troubleshooting and diagnostics to fix malfunctions in electrical/mechanical systems.
• Hands-on calibration with documentation via certificates and validation reports.
• RF experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Repair electronic power equipment to component level.
• Calibrate electronic power equipment.
• Assist in admin of service and calibration dept.
• Visit customers to perform calibrations ~1–2 weeks per month.
• Support customers with technical problems.
