Job summary

Electroserv (Temperature Controls & Sensors) Ltd is looking for a Field Calibration Technician in the Northwest region to provide calibration services across the UK. This role includes working both in the field and in the workshop, building client relationships, and delivering high-quality calibration and repair services. Candidates should have experience in instrumentation calibration across various sectors and hold relevant certifications such as CCNSG and CompEx. The role offers a salary of £32,000-£40,000, a company vehicle, training opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have instrumentation calibration experience across multiple sectors.
• Driving licence is essential.
• CCNSG Card and CompEx 1-4 / 1-6 certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

This position sits within the field service team and offers a great opportunity for a field calibration technician to join a growing, market leading company selling and providing service of sophisticated process instrumentation for high profile customers in all industries.

Applicants based within an hour commute from Electroserv’s head office in Macclesfield, SK11 0LR would be favourable due to the client base. However, the role will be field based.

Responsibilities

• Field based covering the UK.
• Occasional trips covering the whole of Great Britain and the Continent.
• Calibration service and repair on process instrumentation.
• Building relationships with clients on site.
• Carry out field and workshop calibrations.
• Raising Service reports and Test Certificates.
• 50% Field – 50% Workshop/office.
• Must have Instrumentation calibration experience in one or more of the following sectors – chemical, life sciences, power, food, steel, water, wastewater, paper, oil & gas, petrochemical.
• Driving licence.
• To be highly self‑motivated and can work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• A flexible approach to working activities.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbally and written.
• An ability to develop good working relationships with customers.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• Field experience / customer facing experience.
• CCNSG Card.
• CompEx 1-4 / 1-6.
• Worked within process and/or petrochemical environments.
• Electrical and controls knowledge.
• Profibus knowledge.
• UKAS knowledge.

Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level preferably in Electronics or instrumentation and control.
