Job summary

Tektora is seeking a DV-cleared Service Architect for a contract opportunity in the UK, working across legacy and new technologies. The role focuses on owning service design for live services and delivering end-to-end designs within a secure operating model.

It requires strong stakeholder engagement and experience in high-security environments. Based in Hampshire/Basingstoke, the position is office-based, on-site, and outside IR35, with a competitive rate open to discussion.

Tektora are supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider who are looking to speak with DV Cleared Service Architects for a contract opportunity working across both legacy and new technologies as part of a live system transitioned programme.

This role would suit a skilled service architect with excellent interpersonal skills who has owned service design for complex or high value deliveries into live service and is looking to develop further across operating model design and secure programme delivery.

The Role

You Will Be Involved In

• Owning and being accountable for service design on complex or high value deliveries into live service
• Taking responsibility for the delivery of new and ongoing change to work packages in response to evolving user requirements
• Owning delivery of work packages from design through prototyping, ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are met
• Developing detailed end-to-end service designs
• Carrying out impact assessment of current operating and governance models against scope of work
• Designing future operating and governance models
• Identifying and developing test requirements to feed into the overall test plan
• Understanding the customer's IT operational structure
• Supporting end users with vital work by providing an excellent customer focused service
• Working as part of a multi-skilled agile team spanning security, service and management

Key Experience Required

• UK Sole National with active DV Clearance
• Demonstrable experience of working in high security environments
• Ownership and accountability of service design for complex or high value deliveries into live service
• Detailed knowledge of service management concepts and techniques
• Significant experience of service operating model design for major IT systems
• Experience developing detailed end-to-end service designs and impact assessments
• The ability to write coherent, concise and readable technical service documentation
• Significant experience of working to tight timescales within a high energy team environment

Desirable Experience

• ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 certification, applied in delivery rather than in theory
• SIAM or multi-supplier service integration experience
• Experience across both legacy and new technologies on a transitioned programme
• ServiceNow, Remedy or equivalent ITSM tooling experience
• Prior delivery within a Defence or National Security programme
