Job summary

Tektora, supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider, is seeking a DV Cleared Lead DevSecOps Engineer for a contract role on-site in Hampshire. You will drive the technical delivery of CI/CD pipelines and integrated security tooling, with a focus on secure engineering, automation, and rapid delivery within an agile team.

Qualifications

• DV Clearance (UK Sole National) required.
• Extensive CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong security tooling knowledge (SCA/IAST/DAST).
• Experience mentoring juniors in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Own technical implementation, delivery and assurance of DevSecOps tooling.
• Contribute to design decisions and assess options.
• Develop reusable automation scripts and IaC artefacts.
• Write build automation in Ansible and IaC in Terraform; configure CI/CD pipelines.
• Advise end users on DevSecOps tooling and secure engineering practices.
• Work in a Scrum team to define, prioritise work and manage risks.

Tektora are supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider who are looking to speak with DV Cleared Lead DevSecOps Engineers for a contract opportunity driving the technical delivery of CI/CD pipelines and integrated security tooling on one of the programme's most critical and technologically advanced workstreams.

This role would suit someone with a software development background and strong DevSecOps tooling experience who has worked in an agile, sprint-based lifecycle and is looking to develop further across secure engineering processes, automation and technical leadership.

The Role

You will be involved in:

• Owning aspects of the technical implementation, delivery and assurance of the DevSecOps tooling and associated ways of working
• Contributing to technical implementation and design activities, supporting design decisions and assessing options
• Developing and documenting re-usable automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code artefacts
• Writing build automation in Ansible and IaC in Terraform, and configuring and building CI/CD pipelines
• Advising end users on the use of DevSecOps technologies, tooling and secure engineering processes
• Working within a Scrum team to define and prioritise work and raise risks and dependencies
• Ensuring the DevSecOps implementation aligns to business outcomes and security needs
• Mentoring junior engineers and making implementation decisions
• Contributing to planning and reporting progress to the DevSecOps Technical Lead
• Engaging other teams on tooling usage and dependency management

Key Experience Required

• UK Sole National with active DV Clearance
• Significant experience implementing, configuring and using CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps
• IaC tooling including Terraform, Ansible and Harbor
• SCA, IAST and DAST tooling such as Black Duck, Coverity, Codesight, JFrog or Snyk
• Automated test tooling, ideally Selenium or Robot Framework
• Secure secrets management, ideally Azure DevOps and HashiCorp Vault
• Version control with Git
• Comfortable across both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Test management tooling, ideally Azure Test Plans
• Experience working in an agile, sprint-based delivery lifecycle
• Previous experience mentoring or leading a team of engineers
• Prior delivery within a Defence or National Security programme
• Relevant DevSecOps or cloud certifications
