Simpsons Škoda in Preston is seeking a Service Technician as part of the Volkswagen Group Training Programme. You will progress along a structured pathway to Diagnostic Technician and ultimately Master Technician, with ongoing VW Group training and guaranteed salary increases at each accreditation milestone.

Qualifications

• Time-served Vehicle Technician with practical workshop experience.
• Current MOT Tester qualification.
• Valid full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high‑quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, maintain and repair customer vehicles to the highest standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance, warranty work and manufacturer‑approved repairs.
• Conduct MOT tests in line with current regulations and company procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify and resolve vehicle faults.
• Remain up to date with Volkswagen Group technical bulletins, repair procedures and manufacturer training.
• Complete workshop documentation and job records accurately.
• Maintain safety, quality and customer service standards.
• Keep the working area professional, organised, clean and safe.
