Role Summary
  • To provide a full and efficient Administrative Service to the Clinical and wider administrative team. This will include ensuring that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard.
  • To work with the team to ensure adequate cover is in place during periods of leave.
  • To maintain medical records in EPIC and other systems in line with Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS FoundationTrust policies.
  • To assist other Administrators and members of the Admin team in the achievement of a quality service.
  • To contribute to the NHS service improvement by participating fully in new projects and developments such as service redesign work.

Following the promotion of the existing postholder, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Administrator or secretary to join our community Paediatric team as a FULL TIMEService Administrator. Based in Church Lane, on the Royal Devon and Exeter, Wonford campus, the post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administration support to a team of Specialist Community Paediatrician.

The post holder will have a range of administrative or secretarial experience, ideally in a Healthcare environment; however, we welcome applicants from other sectors who feel they have relevant transferable skills.

Working in a busy and sometimes demanding job, within a supportive team, they must be a good team player and enjoy working within a Multidisciplinary team. We are looking for someone who is articulate, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise competing workstreams. You should also have strong administrative experience, organisational skills and the ability to work without direct supervision.

As the post deals with patients, relatives, and Healthcare professionals, applicants must have need to have an empathetic and efficient telephone manner.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday This is a full time role.
