Following the promotion of the existing postholder, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator or secretary to join our community Paediatric team as a PART TIME Service Administrator. Based in Church Lane, on the Royal Devon and Exeter, Wonford campus, the post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of Specialist Community Paediatricians.
The ideal candidate will have a range of administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, though we welcome applicants from other sectors with relevant transferable skills.
The role requires working in a busy environment within a supportive team. The successful applicant must be a good team player, articulate, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize competing workstreams. Strong administrative, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Since the role involves dealing with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals, a compassionate and efficient telephone manner is necessary.
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week, ideally over four days, but other patterns may be considered.
