Job summary

Douglas Scott Global Recruitment is seeking a Serious Injury Associate in the West Midlands. You will manage a focused caseload of 8-12 cases, lead complex high-value claims, and work alongside Partners and Senior Associates. The role supports hybrid working with no billing targets, enabling thorough case preparation and client focus.

You will mentor Trainees and Paralegals while developing lasting client relationships and contributing to a growing Midlands team.

Qualifications

• PQE 2-8 years in serious injury required.

Responsibilities

Feeling stretched between too many files, billing pressure, and not having enough time to doserious injurywork properly?

This role is fora serious injurysolicitor who wants time to think, time to prepare, and time for clients,without worrying about billing targets or unmanageable caseloads.

My client is a well-established, specialist,serious injurylaw firm and you will be joining theirlean, growing Midlands-based team that wasrecently set usand is expanding carefully.With the focus onhigh-qualityserious injurywork well and sustainably.

What you'll actually do

• Run your ownserious injurycaseload(typically8-12 files) so you stay in control of your work
• Lead on complex, high-value claims, not justassistin the background
• Work closely on catastrophic injury cases, contributing meaningfully alongside Partners and Senior Associates
• Hell develop and manage a small group of Trainees and Paralegals
• Build long-term client relationships, with the time to focus on outcomes
