Job summary

Douglas Scott Ltd is seeking a Serious Injury Associate in the West Midlands. You will run your own Serious Injury caseload (typically 8–12 files) and lead on complex, high‑value claims, working alongside Partners and Senior Associates.

This Midlands-based firm offers hybrid working, no billing targets, and a small caseload to allow thorough preparation. You’ll also develop Trainees and Paralegals and build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 2-8 years' PQE in serious injury.
• Experience developing junior team members.
• Hands-on with own cases and complex work.
• Care about doing the job properly, not just coping with volume.
• Wants a role you can stay in and grow with.

Responsibilities

• :Run your own serious injury caseload (typically 8-12 files) to stay in control of your work.
• Lead on complex, high-value claims, not just assist in the background.
• Work closely on catastrophic injury cases, contributing meaningfully alongside Partners and Senior Associates.
• Hall develop and manage a small group of Trainees and Paralegals.
• Build long-term client relationships, with the time to focus on outcomes.
