You’re our skilled Technical SEO Specialist with a specific focus on Shopify. You play a pivotal role in making sure that our clients' Shopify stores are optimised for search engines. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technical SEO strategies tailored to the Shopify platform, drive organic traffic, and improve overall site performance.

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and the tasks that you’re expected to do as part of your role:

• Conducting in-depth technical SEO audits for Shopify websites, identifying and resolving issues impacting search engine performance.
• Implementing and optimising Shopify store structures, meta tags, schema markup, and other on-page elements for improved SEO.
• Collaborating closely with Shopify developers to implement technical SEO enhancements and make sure that best practices are followed.
• Monitoring and analysing Shopify store performance using SEO tools and Shopify analytics,
• staying abreast of Shopify updates, SEO trends and algorithm changes, and adapting strategies accordingly.
• Optimising Shopify stores for mobile and desktop platforms, focusing on page speed and user experience.
• Providing strategic guidance on content optimisation, including product descriptions, collections, and blog content.
• Conducting keyword research specific to clients and industries.
• Generating regular reports on SEO performance, highlighting key metrics and actionable insights.
• Collaborating with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into product listings and other content.

What we need from you

Technical Skills & Experience

• Ideally at least 3 years of experience of working in an SEO role in an agency environment.
• Experience of using a suite of technical SEO tools including: Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Sistrix.
• The ability and experience to lead the technical SEO aspect of client calls and monthly client performance updates (with support from the wider SEO and Content Marketing team).
• Demonstrated experience in delivering organic search success for clients (e.g. increases in traffic, keyword rankings, conversion and revenue.
• A strong knowledge of Shopify’s architecture, limitations and functionality.
