Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Sensory Support Team, delivering specialist assessments and tailored support to people with impairments in the Stockton-on-Tees area.

This full-time fixed-term (12 months) role emphasizes independent living, safeguarding, and person-centred practice, with flexible working options and a competitive salary range.

Competenze

• A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Experience with adults who have complex needs and a person-centred approach to practice.
• A sound understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families and partner agencies.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.
• A genuine interest in supporting people with sensory impairments to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to their community.
