Job summary

Sense is seeking dedicated support workers to help people with sensory loss and complex needs live independently in their own homes in Sheffield. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily tasks and support participation in community activities.

Full- and part-time roles available, up to 37.5 hours/week on a 4-week rota (8am–4pm, 4pm–10pm, 10pm–8am). A full UK driving licence is essential; sleep-ins paid at 50p/hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in care roles is beneficial but not essential.
• Full manual UK driving licence is essential.
• Sleep-ins are paid at 50p per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support reflecting individual needs and aspirations.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Support clients to access appointments, activities and community events.
• Build meaningful relationships and understand individual communication preferences.
• Work with colleagues and families to promote consistency, dignity and wellbeing.
