Job summary

Sennies Ltd is seeking a dedicated live-out carer to support children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, anxiety and SEMH, across a range of ages.

As a trauma-informed, emotionally attuned caregiver you will implement low demand, relationship-led strategies, manage daily routines, medication support, and travel to families in BR7 and surrounding areas. A full UK driving licence and own car are essential.

• 2+ years SEN childcare experience — specifically with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, SEMH needs and selective mutism across a range of ages
• Trauma-informed and emotionally attuned — able to support children with complex emotional and mental health profiles with warmth, patience and no judgement
• Experienced supporting children who struggle to leave the house and attend school — confident using low demand, relationship-led approaches
• Confident with medical care routines — able to support children in taking multiple daily medications correctly and consistently
• Aware of the implications of immunosuppression — understanding of hygiene and infection prevention for a medically vulnerable child
• Comfortable supporting children with sensory sensitivities, particularly around clothing, noise and environment
• Full, clean UK driving licence — essential, with significant driving required
• Calm, boundaried and emotionally regulated — able to hold space for big feelings without escalating
• Experienced supporting children with restricted eating and food aversions — patient, non-pressured approach essential
• Able to support executive functioning — time management, self-care routines, organisation and homework
