Job summary

USP College is seeking a Senior Experience Engineer to lead architecture and development of immersive learning experiences. You will shape projects across curriculum innovation, research and commercial work, while mentoring junior staff and building scalable technical foundations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a comparable technical development role.
• Advanced Unity, C# and XR development experience (Quest, OpenXR).
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable interactive experiences and multi-system platforms.
• Strong knowledge of 3D production, software engineering standards, accessibility, performance and QA.
• Excellent technical leadership, planning, communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and ongoing improvement of XR Studios’ immersive experiences and platforms.
• Build scalable, reusable Unity-based systems and modular game systems.
• Maintain high standards for coding, version control, testing and security.
• Develop 3D content pipelines including motion capture, photogrammetry, modeling and animation.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies including AI and APIs where valuable.
• Develop backend services and reusable prompt-engineering approaches for AI-enabled experiences.
• Ensure accessibility and performance standards (WCAG 2.1 AA where relevant).
• Support project planning, milestones, risks and progress reporting.
• Contribute to business development through demos, workshops and client training.
