Job summary

Fundamental XR is seeking a Lead Simulation Engineer in London, a senior technical leadership role reporting to the CPTO. You will own the architecture, standards, and delivery of simulation-related work across real-time XR, physics, and engineering modeling, leading a team of 4+ engineers in a hybrid work setup.

You will drive technical direction, assess reusable components, and guide project feasibility with product and design teams, while raising engineering practice and productivity across

Qualifications

• Experience building real-time XR or simulation systems.
• Proven track record in technical leadership and mentoring teams.
• Hands-on Unity experience required; knowledge of Unreal is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools for software engineering and simulation.
• Experience with XR platforms such as Meta Quest is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for Simulation, architecture, and standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4+ simulation engineers; manage performance.
• Oversee client work delivery, balancing near-term needs with long-term strategy.
• Set engineering standards for performance, accuracy, and maintainability.
