Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a highly experienced Works Manager for a fast-paced contract based in Peterhead. You will lead multi-disciplinary site teams, ensure safety compliance, and closely manage subcontractors to hit critical milestones on a rail and highway project.

The role requires Sentinel PTS, a proven safety track record, and the ability to coordinate with clients and stakeholders. Salary is a rate of £35 per hour (umbrella Inside IR35) with Mon-Fri 7-7 and Sat 7-1.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary site teams in rail/highway environments.
• Proven ability to implement safety initiatives and RAMS compliance.
• Strong leadership and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Champion H&S legislation and RAMS adherence on site.
• Site Leadership: Inductions, briefings, tool box talks, and safety briefings.
• Operations & Logistics: Manage site plant, tools and materials to minimise wastage and ensure environmental controls.
• Quality & Reporting: Produce daily records and reports, drive improvements.
• Team Development: Align supervisors with policies and conduct assessments as needed.
• Planning: Develop and monitor project programmes with site teams.
