Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Site Engineer for the Southsea Coastal Defence Scheme under the Environment Agency Framework. The role involves leading setting out, surveying, QA, and coordinating with subcontractors on a high-profile coastal project.

Key duties include managing ITPs, RFIs, TQs, NCRs and maintaining records. A Civil Engineering degree and progress toward ICE are preferred, with strong health & safety knowledge and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, marine, infrastructure, water or environmental projects.
• Strong setting out and surveying capabilities.
• Knowledge of quality, health & safety and construction best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead all setting out and dimensional control activities.
• Ensure accurate surveying, engineering controls and maintenance of project control points.
• Support temporary works planning and implementation.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
• Produce and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Raise and manage RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Maintain accurate records including as-built information, site diaries and quality documentation.
