Job summary

Sopra Steria Aerospace, Defence & Security (ADS) seeks a Workplace Managed Service Lead to own the end-to-end Workplace environment, including desktop and virtual desktop technologies. The role requires clear leadership of technical teams, and strong relationships with customer stakeholders in a highly secure Defence context.

On-site working in Basingstoke is required, with MoD DV clearance. You will shape the future of the Workplace capability while ensuring secure and high-performing delivery

Qualifications

• Experience with Workplace, End User Compute or Desktop technologies including VDI, OS and software delivery.
• Strong engineering or architecture background with Workplace tech knowledge.
• Experience leading technical teams and providing clear direction.
• Excellent customer and stakeholder management with senior technical stakeholders.
• Experience in secure Defence or National Security environments with governance/assurance processes.
• Ability to balance technical leadership, people management and service delivery in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Workplace Managed Service end-to-end across desktop, virtual desktop, software delivery and related end-user technologies.
• Act as the senior technical face of the service to the customer and build trusted relationships.
• Provide technical direction and prioritize work for Workplace teams and engineers.
• Own health and performance of the service and drive issue resolution and risk management.
• Influence Workplace architecture, designs, standards and governance for a highly secure environment.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth of the Workplace offering.
