Hoare Lea in London is seeking a senior Workplace Fit-Out Lead / Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design delivery for workplace fit-out projects from brief to technical completion.

You will collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and internal teams to develop robust and coordinated designs for high-quality office environments, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer on workplace fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, building services coordination in commercial offices.
• Experience leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations and workplace design requirements.
• Consultancy experience with strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical design delivery on workplace fit-out projects, including CAT A, CAT A+, CAT B and refurbishment schemes.
• Act as a key client contact, attending meetings, understanding the brief and translating it into practical design solutions.
• Develop strategic concepts and detailed mechanical designs that meet project, regulatory and performance requirements.
• Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Oversee technical quality, programme and delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
• Support and mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and encouraging professional development.
• Work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver integrated workplace environments.
• Monitor workload, fees and resources in support of project success.
