Job summary

Hoare Lea in London seeks a Workplace Fit-Out Lead / Associate Mechanical Engineer to drive design delivery for workplace fit-out projects from brief through to completion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer on workplace fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services coordination.
• Experience leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Consultancy background with commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
• Confidence to lead design decisions and guide project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design delivery on workplace fit-out projects.
• Act as a key client contact, attending meetings and translating briefs into practical design solutions.
• Develop strategic concepts and detailed mechanical designs that meet project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Oversee technical quality, programme and delivery across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge to support development.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated workplace environments.
• Monitor workload, fees and resources to support project success.
